Depend On The Heavenly Wealth And Obey God
Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:21-23 NIV **Maturity ( perfection) is measured by how much treasure you can withdraw from heaven through obedience to God’s instructions. The young rich ruler failed this test. The more you depend on earthly wealth, the harder you find it to obey God and thus the more you forfeit the heavenly treasure. * May God grant the grace to have my eyes remain fixed on the superabundant wealth that is stored up for me in heaven, wealth that I have access to through daily obedience to the leading of the Holy Ghost, you?
