Unforgiveness Creates A Door For The Devil
Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,
2 Corinthians 2:9-10 NIV
** Paul had written to the church of Corinth so that they forgive and restore a person they had excommunicated from the church due to sin and one who had shown fruit fit for repentance. He also says he himself had forgiven in Christ.
***Reason, unforgiveness creates an open door for the devil he takes advantage of grudges, offenses to bring in tormenting spirits to the one holding them. To forgive in Christ means you put yourself in a place where you draw from the deposit of Christ’s forgiveness and offer it to the offender, this by faith regardless of the feelings.
