Refuse To Be Dissapointed And You Will Be Blessed

Now when John heard in the prison the works of the Christ, he sent by his disciples and said unto him, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and tell John the things which ye hear and see
the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good tidings preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.
Matthew 11:2‭-‬6 ASV
** John was very disappointed by his incursion who would not have felt let down? Three ways to handle disappointment. Pretend that you are not, this leads to more problems since the pain remains and continues to ferment on the inside, ready to explode.
Live reacting to the pain of disappointment if it were not for so and so..if I didn’t make that mistake or commit that sin if God did not. Self-pity is a regular visitor here and strangles prayer. Process the disappointment so you move on.
*** John a man commended so much by Jesus got this answer, the power of God is still at work, refuse to be offended and you will be blessed right where you are. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 is a good starting point in order to process the disappointment.
