Repent and be baptized.
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:37-38 NIV
– True repentance is a product of real conviction of sin.
– Peter’s message cut to the heart, people really got convicted of their sins, repented and 3000 got saved.
– May God pour His Spirit over our generation in such a way that the conviction of sin will cause true repentance.
– The mercies of God are from everlasting to everlasting, the faithfulness of God never fails, David is a good example (Psalm 51).
