What is the Grace of God.

The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the
whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.

Nahum 1:3 NIV

– The Lord is slow to anger, but remains God of justice and mercy .
– God sent Prophet Jonah to warn Nineveh of their wickedness and the judgement that awaited them.
they repented and God spared them.
– 150 years later they were deep in all manner of evil.. they were destroyed and Nahum reminded them
that God will not leave evil to go unpunished ( Jesus was punished for our sins)
– (John 5:14) Jesus was told the man He healed at the pool of Bethesda not to go back to the life of sins.
same with the woman He rescued from a marauding mob (John.8:11)
– May God help us not assume on His grace, may we never take His grace as a licence for sin but rather
as an empowerment to overcome sin.
