Say NO To Temptation, backed by Gods Word – Daily Devotion | 28th October 2022
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when
he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.. And when the tempter
came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But
he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceeded out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:1-4 KJV
– Temptation is an urge, a pull ,a lull towards evil.
– Temptation is not sin but our response can be sin.
– Temptation comes to every one living on this side of heaven
Say ‘no’ to temptation before it arrives.
– Jesus was greatly loved by the Father (Matthew. 3:17),Jesus was the Father’s delight and was
full of the Holy Spirit.
– In the wilderness, however when Jesus was hungry, Satan tempted Him in order to make Him have bad
feelings towards the Father.
– Since you are God’s son why then continue being hungry? how long? when there is something you can do?
turn these stones into bread why wait?
– God cannot continue to keep you like this. Anyone hearing similar voices?
– Jesus said, No!! I cannot do anything other than or unless what comes from my Father’s mouth.
“Now you know how to say NO to every temptation, an emphatic ‘no’ that is backed by His word.”
