Embrace the True prophets of God.
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not
willing.”
Matthew 23:37 NIV.
– Jesus wanted to gather Jerusalem under His Mighty arms, even do to it what He had done to Capernaum where He had healed every sick individual therein.
– The city had a reputation of killing prophets, their status and religious reputation had blinded them, they thought they did not need anything new.
– A great series of opportunities just went the drains, imagine?
– Jesus had been very patient with them, coming to them again and again.
Four major lessons
– Lord, help me to recognise and move fast when You show up.
– And grant me patience with other people.
– Grant that I embrace your true prophets (2 Chronicles 20:20)
