The Attitude of Serving God
Matthew 6: 2 – 4
So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
God wants to reward all that serve Him out of their love for Him and His people. Jesus encouraged us to look forward to this reward while serving with a single heart …
Serving with a single heart involves humbly doing what God wants, focusing on Him for grace, commendation and reward. Blessed are you who serve to please Him.
A question…could this help someone who in God’s will, has been doing too much for people with very little or no appreciation…?
Acclaim of men cannot be compared to God’s reward…press on, your reward is coming. Blessings
