Struggles in places of worship(altars) – Daily Devotion | 23rd July 2022

“Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land. So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him. From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.”

Genesis 12:6‭-‬8 NIV

–God appeared to Abram and told Him of his great future that required him to move out.

–Three spheres of familiarity he had to leave.

  • – country ( environment of idol worship)
  • – people ( heathens)
  • – father’s house (bad influencers) Wherever Abram went ,he built places of worship ( altars)

Imagine… people struggle to go so a place of worship. Some a few meters from their houses while Abram built them in order to worship the God Who had given him such a high calling.

“How about you…? Will you also help someone go to church, fellowship, seminar.?”
