Preach God in your ‘Prison’. – Daily Devotion | 24th July 2022
When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask him,
“Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see:The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
– John was in pain.locked up.
– John sent his disciples to ask Jesus whether He was the Messiah or is the true Messiah yet to come
– John asked that question because of what He was going through.
– Jesus replied by works… the work of God that He was sent to do goes as the issue of John awaits Father’s answer.
The work must go on… Jesus is the same yesterday , today , and forever…No other Jesus is coming for the work other
than the One Who lives in us…He is at work now in/through us in good times and bad times.
